Doesnt work with iPhone 6

Essential for all New Yorkers (and visitors)

I bought this app when I moved to NYC and it has enabled me to navigate the subway like a native. A must-get, especially now with the recent update.

Thank you for the update

I use this app almost daily. Thank you for the update! Saving me frustration and now I can recommend it fanatically again!

So much value, but...

I use this app constantly. So if you are thinking “is this worth it”, the answer is yes, yes it is. The developer must have done a ton of work to collect all of the data needed to make this app work and having access to that data is just super useful. On the other hand, the app execution isn’t outstanding. I think tapping each station just loads a static image or pdf file which feels clunky and makes the app pretty large. And… it is fine. I learn what I need to know from the app. Sure, the design keeps me from unequivocally recommending this app to everyone friend I talk to, but if you are already reading the reviews here, you will probably be happy with the purchase.

Best Subway App

This is the best Subway App for New Yorkers. The content provided takes the subway riding experience to the next level. Those who want to cut down on the hot station walk in the summer or to save a few extra minutes this is for you. It also has all of the maps available for subway viewing ie no internet. This is one of the few apps written from a New Yorker perspective. Thank you

One of my most-used apps

Been waiting for this update. Great app. Helps me navigate the stations I dont know so well. Thank you for keeping Exit Strategy alive!

Very useful for 2 reasons

1. You dont need an Internet connection, so it works anywhere in the subway system, and its fast 2. The neighborhood maps have a treasure trove of important NYC buildings and landmarks, along with their proximity to subway exit stairs. Highly recommended. If youre looking for directions from A to B, then use Google maps or some other app. Thats not what this app is for. This app is for the fastest way out of a subway station.

Best Subway App for New Yorkers

This is for folks who know where theyre going but want to maximize efficiency. Its so helpful to know which car to stand on to make transfers and exiting faster. Never walk that extra block when youre late again. Works offline which is key. Love this app use it all the time.

Thank you for the update!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! For the iPhone 6, 6+ update. One of my most used apps. A must in NYC.

ONE of the best, not THE best!

Now that the maps work again with iOS 8 (took WAY too long tho!!) its one of my favorite transit apps again!! I definitely recommend buying it! Great time saver so you can be close to the exits and see where the entrances are on the street! Must have for new arrivals to NYC and even for people who travel around NYC a lot using the subway if you have a hard time finding entrances.

Great app, minor flaw

This is probably one of my most used apps and I think the info on it is right about 98% of the time. The one problem I have is the size of the neighborhood maps. It seems the problem of jumping to the wrong spot on those was fixed, which helps, but my issue is with the fact that some of those maps are so huge to begin with. I remember reading something from the developers about the app a while ago, saying that some of the neighborhood maps were smaller because of lack of space. Reading that is infuriating when EVERY single station in Manhattan has a detailed map of the entire island, and then the farther out into the outer boroughs you get, the smaller the maps are, to the point where some stations barely have a five block radius. That seems like really poor space management. Its not like more extensive maps of those outer borough neighborhoods dont exist.

iPad 6+!

Finally my favorite train app works with my phone!

Great app but still no iPhone 6 support

And it recently got a big update, but no iPhone 6 support.

Please update the map with the new 7 train station!

This app is absolutely worth it but it needs to be updated with the last 7 train station.

One minor update needed...

7 Train being extended from 42nd Street --> new 34th Street Hudson Yards station...thanks! =)

Love it.

This is one of those rare apps that I use quite often. All I can say is getting off right in front of the exit at a station in a strange neighborhood is priceless.

Map not up-to-date

The 7 train extension is not showing in the map

Subway map is outdated

Need an update ASAP!

Please Add Hudson Yards!

Please add Hudson Yards on the IRT Flushing line (7) and <7>. Thanks!

Cleaning...

Was great until recently. Now its icon is greyed out and says Cleaning... Please fix!
