As tourist in nyc we have sometimes the problem to find the entrance to subway - here no problem. Also you can see the house numbers in the map for each block. The maps can be zoomed. The best offline maps that i could find. Only 4 stars: there is no button to find your current position on the map!! Hi we have GPS! So often you must first search where we are...

It was accurate most of the time on what train car to board. The only thing it was missing is the timetables but its coming soon. Update to this review: I have bought this app with intentions that timetables will come along but its been almost over a year now and they still havent bothered updating it with timetables. They should stop advertising this future feature unless they actually release it.

This app has saved me so much time while waiting on the platform. My favorite NYC related app.

This was my go to subway app for years... That is until I got an iPhone 6. Now the app no longer works and as others have stated, its impossible to get in touch with the app developers. This really was a gem when it worked.

Maps dont load. Broken. Hasnt been fixed. Dont think they are going to.

Maps will not display on my iPhone 6 plus. Also, the app isn’t optimized for the 6 plus screen. It looks awful.

This was a GREAT app. Now the maps are just black screens. And the companys email seems not to work. Was great.

…but it doesn’t work as it originally did on pre-iPhone 6/6+ phones (though it work on the iPad Air 2 *shrug*). So, until the maps work in iPhone 6s and 6+s, it gets one star. If you read the 5 star ratings, they’ll tell you what the app was in its full glory.

Until the iPhone 6 glitches are fixed dont waste your money

I used to use this all the time to optimize my subway travels. Worked great until i upgraded to a 6 Plus. Now all i see instead of maps are black screens. Shame that this app became neglect-ware

I switched from iPhone 5 to 6 Plus and now I just get a black screen instead of maps. I will give 5 stars once its updated. Cant even contact tech support. Message just bounces back. PLEASE UPDATE!

I love this app, so very much, but it needs an update!! Its still showing the tunnel to Brooklyn closed. Thats been open for a while. Also the Courtland Street info is outdated. Please update, like NOW!

Update2: 11 months after writing the update below, still no changes. Update: This used to be my favorite and most used app. The latest update brings the subway map to the front, forcing me to click through three screens to pull up a subway line. I dont need a map, I live here. If I need to see a map, every station has them and every single car has two. What I need is a reference for the train I am boarding and I need it quick. Fix it. My 2009 review: This is my most used App. Dead-on accurate descriptions for which car and doors to use at any given stop. I also like the local maps for quick orientation when getting out at an unfamiliar stop in Brooklyn. If you want to save time in the subway, use this.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 6+ from the 5S a few days ago, and one of the FIRST things I needed to use was ExitStrategy to navigate my way through the city to attend an event in a location I dont often go to. FAIL! At first I just thought the app didnt restore properly, because it opens, the tutorial works, and you can select a map type, but then all of the maps were solid black!!! So I deleted and reinstalled. Same thing. I looked it up in the App Store, and lo and behold -- several reviewers have recently mentioned this issue. NOOOO!!! it was one of the best most useful apps. And its not free!! But its not working. And it hasnt been updated in over a year, which worries me. Please please fix this app!! It took me an extra 10 minutes to figure out my trip and which subway car / street exit to use the other day and I was NOT a happy NYC Camper. :(

This used tone a handy app for getting out of the subway ahead of the crowds. No more. The subway map screen is pitch black, with no map! Even the subway tunnels in New York shed more light than this app!

I will change my review to five stars once the app is repaired. I used to love his app. Now I am disappointed. My new iPhone 6+ is naked without my maps.

Used to be great. Now wont work on iPhone 6+. Also probably needs other updates. Too bad.

I used this app for a long time, but the lack of an update makes me very nervous. I still tell people about the app, but I always have to preface by saying it doesnt work on newer phones :(
